The Galaxy S Light Luxury was just announced in China packing very modest specs, the device is pretty much a "lite" variant of the Galaxy S8. The 5.8' screen from the S8 makes a return keeping the same dimensions as its bigger brother. The Light S features the same Super AMOLED panel with 1,080 x 2,220 px resolution (18.5:9). The phone has a single camera on the back - 16 MP sensor and an f/1.7 aperture. It can record 4K video at 30 fps, but OIS is absent (surprisingly). The selfie camera has an 8 MP sensor with an f/1.7 aperture. The Snapdragon 660 chipset inside the Galaxy S Light Luxury should offer similar CPU performance to the Galaxy S8's 835. It does have 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage. Given the Galaxy S Light Luxury's size, it shouldn’t be a surprise that there’s a 3,000 mAh battery – the same capacity as the Galaxy S8. There’s support for fast wireless and wired charging, the latter of which goes over the USB-C port....
The rumours of Samsung releasing a folding smart-phone has now been confirmed. Although an official name has not been decided for this phone, its being called the Samsung Galaxy X (this brings the iPhone X to mind doesn't it). What we know for sure is that its Model number will be SM-G888 .

Lets talk a bit about how this revolutionary phone is going to look. By fold-able, what do we actually refer to, I mean is Samsung trying to take us back to the era of feature phones, or is this just a nostalgia thing.

According to sketches submitted by Samsung Electronics to the Korean Intellectual Property Office (being labelled as “Flexible Electronic Device”), we see that the smart-phone is going to feature a flip phone/clamshell design (I know right??). The sketch also shows that the device will be folded inwards. But before you start thinking “numeric-keypad”, it was also noted that the device will be fully touch-screen, consisting of two displays, one of which will be flexible and the other will not.

Due to the nature of the hinges (multi hinge joint), the device can only be folded to one side. Additionally, the submitted sketches shows the clearance for the camera and interface.

Release date for the Samsung Galaxy X
A lot of speculations has been made about when the Galaxy X will be released, but we can say with a considerable degree of certainty that the Samsung phone will be hit the markets before the Galaxy S9.
Essentially , we expect this smart-phone to be released at the end of February 2018, during the Mobile World Congress. If they successfully pull this off, it means that they would get the perfect chance to introduce the phone at CES which begins in January 2018 at Las Vegas.
One final bit of information is that the Galaxy X may initially be available exclusively for the Korean Market. Probably so they can get sufficient user feed-back before the official release is made to the Global Market.
