Samsung Galaxy S Light Luxury now Official

The Galaxy S Light Luxury was just announced in China packing very modest specs, the device is pretty much a "lite" variant of the Galaxy S8. The 5.8' screen from the S8 makes a return keeping the same dimensions as its bigger brother. The Light S features the same Super AMOLED panel with 1,080 x 2,220 px resolution (18.5:9). The phone has a single camera on the back - 16 MP sensor and an f/1.7 aperture. It can record 4K video at 30 fps, but OIS is absent (surprisingly). The selfie camera has an 8 MP sensor with an f/1.7 aperture. The Snapdragon 660 chipset inside the Galaxy S Light Luxury should offer similar CPU performance to the Galaxy S8's 835. It does have 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage. Given the Galaxy S Light Luxury's size, it shouldn’t be a surprise that there’s a 3,000 mAh battery – the same capacity as the Galaxy S8. There’s support for fast wireless and wired charging, the latter of which goes over the USB-C port....

OnePlus has decided to give the facial unlock feature to come as an update to the OnePlus 5. Seeing that the tech received a generally accepted view after the iPhone X was released.  This was decided since OnePlus discovered that their debut phone of the year, the OnePlus 5T, does not use any additional hardware functionality for the Face Unlock feature. The co-founder of OnePlus, Carl Pei, in a tweet on Christmas Eve affirmed that there will be an update coming up but he gave no specific time frame. Also, the Android Oreo will be coming to the OnePlus 5, so all OnePlus 5 users are advised to keep tabs with the OnePlus Forum over the Oreo Update. It is rumoured to come with better camera features and launcher. Source

Apple sets out to Acquire Shazam.

Apple plans to delve further into the music sector by acquiring Shazam, an app that allows users to identify a song by listening to the clip from any part of the song or film or a TV program. The deal was described by a source that it would be dealt in 9 figures while another estimates that it would be about $400 million. Although according to the last valuation the company had back in 2015, it was estimated to be about $1.02 billion dollars according to Pitchbook and hence it is most likely going to be sold lower than that. The deal will definitely be a big one for apple as the app is a widely used one. It was observed to have passed the 1 billion downloads back in September, 2016 which is definitely going to be higher now. Also the app has raised a total of $143 million dollars for a number of investors which also includes Kleiner Perkins which was observed to have also invested in their competitor, Soundcloud. Tesla Unveils the Tesla Semi Truck

Tesla unveiled today its very first all-electric semi truck. It can be seen that the design is a very beautiful and futuristic looking one. Although that’s more like its basic catchy feature, the truck seems to boast of a whole lot of other capabilities. First off, Design of the truck was based on a bullet. It would be exceptionally fast for a truck going from 0-60mph in 5 seconds with the former fastest moving truck being Ford F-150 (although this is a pick-up truck, but it still counts since the tesla semi is faster than it). Also while carrying a maximum of Eighty thousand pounds (80000lb), it can still hit 60mph in just 20 seconds. Owing to its aerodynamic design, it has a better drag coefficient of 0.36 which is even better than the Bugatti chiron that has a drag coefficient of 0.38.   The truck will be able to hit a 500 miles range on maximum weight at 60mph compared to the standard 250 miles. Elon Musk explained this as a worse-case scenario feature w...

Amazon to launch Echo, Echo Plus and Echo Dot in Japan

After Amazon launched the Echo, Echo Plus, and Echo Dot in Japan some days ago, it made the hardware together with the Alexa voice assistant available in the country. While Amazon claims to have an Alexa voice search for Japan soon, developers can gain access to Alexa skills which also has support for Japanese and it has Alexa available for customers also along with a list of apps and services that amazon has to offer. While this new device might help to boost amazon’s market in Japan, it is very unlikely that it will help them to overtake Rakuten, as Japan’s biggest E-commerce firm. Although Amazon has offered e-books in Japan since 2010 and as of today has a full suite of Prime services, considerable amount of work would still be required if they are to ever overtake Rakuten. Due to the fact that Japan has the third largest Global economy, Amazon would still be in for a potentially lucrative market in Japan.   Amazon also launched a basic edition of its Fire TV Stic...

The new OPPO R11s Release Date and Review.

The news of the Chinese Tech firm, OPPO, releasing its new R11s has already began spreading round the internet. While we are still waiting for the phone, it can be seen the design and properties of the phone will not be far-fetched from leaked renders of the phone or specifications as predicted by some outlet. Well, remember when your hands could block the sound output when you are playing game (especially when you need to hear your victory chant, CoC fans can relate?), oh well, they apparently have a solution for that now. With the development of “crescent arcs” the device’s hardware would allow you to play or watch videos. Although this was done by modifying the headphone and microUSB port. ColorOS 3.2 seems to bring a new and special feature called Split Screen mode(which I am guessing will be similar to the Axon M’s split screen mode also) . it also comes with facial unlock which is integrated using an AI to recognise its user. It can do so in as quick as 0.08 secon...

The Razer Phone achieves this feat with the help of “UltraMotion”, an adaptive sync technology that syncs the GPU with the display much like V-Sync or Nvidia’s G-sync. This helps to ensure there are no lags at high frame rates. CAMERA There is a dual camera se...
