Samsung Galaxy S Light Luxury now Official

The Galaxy S Light Luxury was just announced in China packing very modest specs, the device is pretty much a "lite" variant of the Galaxy S8. The 5.8' screen from the S8 makes a return keeping the same dimensions as its bigger brother. The Light S features the same Super AMOLED panel with 1,080 x 2,220 px resolution (18.5:9). The phone has a single camera on the back - 16 MP sensor and an f/1.7 aperture. It can record 4K video at 30 fps, but OIS is absent (surprisingly). The selfie camera has an 8 MP sensor with an f/1.7 aperture. The Snapdragon 660 chipset inside the Galaxy S Light Luxury should offer similar CPU performance to the Galaxy S8's 835. It does have 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage. Given the Galaxy S Light Luxury's size, it shouldn’t be a surprise that there’s a 3,000 mAh battery – the same capacity as the Galaxy S8. There’s support for fast wireless and wired charging, the latter of which goes over the USB-C port....

The iPhone X full phone review and specifications

When we talk about the iPhone series, a lot comes to mind, and one of those things is the cutting edge they build into their products, in light of this, the iPhone X (ten) is no exception and this article shows what the 1000 dollar smartphone will do for you.

Design
Alright first off, let’s talk aesthetics, Apple took quite a bit of a different approach on the iPhone X, ditching the bezels and taking out the home button (more on that in a moment). The front and back has a complete glass finish which according to Apple are supposedly the more durable on a smart phone, but you really don’t wanna test that out cause apparently a glass replacement for the back of the iPhone X costs about three times as much as the screen replacement, so do the math.
The part of the smartphone that isn’t glass is made with surgical grade stainless steel which has been sealed for dust and water resistance. According to Apple the iphone X will be available in both the space grey and silver finish.

Display
With the absence of bezels the iPhone X gets a 5.8inch display without being too wide for comfortable handling. Apple is also providing an OLED something it hasn’t done on any of its other smartphones, It’s being called a super retina display, this display promises more accurate colours, and an overall better viewing experience on the screen.
The display supports a resolution of 2046×1125, at 455 PPI, its also compatible with Dolby vision and HDR technology.
Another great aspect of Apple’s latest smartphone is the Face ID incorporation. Other smartphone companies have ventured into this at one time or another, even Apple. But none have really been as innovative as the iPhone X's version.
With the absence of a home button users can now wake up their IPhone by swiping in any direction, Access Siri by saying Hey Siri, close an app by swiping up a from the bottom and for added security open the smartphone via their FaceID.

Apple has made it so that you can unlock your phone by looking at it from any angle. It does this using a specially engineered front camera (a true depth front camera with an infrared scanner) and a dot projector situated in front of the smartphone. This makes it impossible to unlock the phone using a 2d image or by someone who has similar face as the user, according to apple the chances of this happening is one in a million they also claim that faceID would work even if you are wearing a hat or a different hairstyle, regardless of whether it’s night or day time.

The face id feature could be used for Apple pay or something Apple calls Animojis ( animated emojis that depend on your facial expression).

Camera
The device features a 12 Megapixels rear camera with dual Lenses of f1.8 and f2.4 aperture, The camera allow for adding special lighting effects which are provided by real-time analysis of the amount of light hitting the subject's face. This feature is called portrait lighting. Using the built in A11 processor videos can be recorded in 4K at 60fps in low light mode.
The front camera runs with the true depth camera technology and also supports Portrait mode and portrait lighting (which is just great by the way).

Battery and Charging
The iPhone X's battery is said to last two hours longer than that of the iPhone 7 plus. Another interesting thing is that the smartphone supports wireless charging made possible by the new glass back. This tech is provided by Qi, the go-to company for wireless charging.
Still on wireless charging, Apple provides a wider wireless charging pad which allows you to charge your iPhone, Apple Watch and AirPods all at the same time (cool right??).

Processor

Under the hood is an A11 bionic processor, as opposed to the A10 on the 7 plus. The new processor has 64 bit design, six cores, two high performance processors which are 25% faster than the A10, and four high efficiency processors which are 70% faster.
In overall, the A11's GPU is 30% faster than the A10's.
Pricing and Availability
The iPhone X starts at $999 for the 64GB version, with the option of a 256GB variant
Pre-orders are slated to begin on October 27, But the iPhone X won’t be available in stores until November 3.

iOS Apps Can Spy on You Through Your iPhone's Camera

Another privacy loophole in the apple iOS was discovered when top iOS researcher and founder of Fastlane Tools, Felix Krause, noticed the problem in the mobile firmware. He said that apple was leaving its camera and recording access so loosely such that third party apps can easily spy on users without any warning. Krause explained that “iOS users often grant camera access to an app soon after they download it (e.g. to add an avatar or to send a photo) and these apps, like a messaging app or any news feed based app, can easily track the users face, take pictures, or live stream the front or back camera without the user’s content.” He further explained that a worse-case scenario will be an app that is installed and asks once for the camera access to either take an avatar or upload an image but then secretly upload pictures of the user on the internet. He also noticed that under the latest iOS version apps have been given to much freedom in the sense that it cou...

LG G7 with ThinQ AI features hit the market with 70000 pre-orders

The LG G7 ThinQ was finally released for sale about a week ago, and despite the rough landing they've had in previous releases, this particular model has managed to score so much as 70,000 pre-order sales in just six days. This is almost twice as much as the G6 sale (40,000) around the same time frame last year. Note this is just in South Korea, so there's still a chance to get higher sales numbers when it eventually goes global. Source

Amazon to launch Echo, Echo Plus and Echo Dot in Japan

After Amazon launched the Echo, Echo Plus, and Echo Dot in Japan some days ago, it made the hardware together with the Alexa voice assistant available in the country. While Amazon claims to have an Alexa voice search for Japan soon, developers can gain access to Alexa skills which also has support for Japanese and it has Alexa available for customers also along with a list of apps and services that amazon has to offer. While this new device might help to boost amazon’s market in Japan, it is very unlikely that it will help them to overtake Rakuten, as Japan’s biggest E-commerce firm. Although Amazon has offered e-books in Japan since 2010 and as of today has a full suite of Prime services, considerable amount of work would still be required if they are to ever overtake Rakuten. Due to the fact that Japan has the third largest Global economy, Amazon would still be in for a potentially lucrative market in Japan.   Amazon also launched a basic edition of its Fire TV Stic...
